LJ Deleting Journals
Of course, I think this has gotten a bit out of hand, discussion-wise XD;. And I'm sure this is getting redundant, but this is for anyone on my f-list who does not already know. (Raise Awareness )
But, :/ Why delete something if fictional characters are 'of-age' o__O;;. I'd understand if they weren't. Granted, we have young users on lj, infact, I was like 13/14 when I started lj D:". But :[ I guess it can't be helped, even with membership only, you won't ever be able to tell if someone is 18 or not.
I agree that there are journals that needed to be deleted or assessed for content. But, why not move elsewhere o.o; I.E. your own domain. Granted, Journal = personal, right? Where you keep things from everyone else. Well a community is kind of the same way, if it is just a community with only those members interested in it why delete it if they are not potentially harming anyone else? Slash fics are
clearly fictional and do not always contain sex, or any form of sex.
Anyways, there is AdultFanfiction.net that was made for that sort of thing, a division from fanfiction.net when they also took out anything pg-15+.
It will probably happen more places just to keep things clean. And you can still share with your friends/fellow lj-users via aim/msn/etc/your own domain.
~omni out ♥.
PS: You know hoq you can list your interests on your profile/info page? Well, what's so wrong with Have slash/shounen-ai/shoujo-ai/yaoi/yuri if it is JUST LABELED AS AN INTEREST?!?!
Seriously, if you are not expressing it against the rules, what is wrong to say you have an interest in it?
....okay >>; back to ffxii.
